Kayak, canoe or paddleboard rental
Thanks to the Outsider Coast it is possible to rent kayaks, canoes or Paddleboards and make a trip on the canal Nieuwpoort - Plassendaele. A paddle and life jacket are provided.

Boat excursion
We use the “Topcraft Grande 484”, a highly comfortable motorboat, in the biggest marina of Northern Europe towards Newport city. We sail via the fish market and along the fishing boats situated at the quays, going under the bridge and arriving at the lock complex the ‘Ganzenpoot’ (Goose leg). At this point we reach the historic locks which allowed the Yser inundations in 1914, with the story of our famous locks guards Geeraert and Cogge. Here, the Albert I monument makes an astonishing impression seen from the water. Next, we turn around to sail along the sand quays and through a variety of pontoons, giving us the opportunity to get to know all types of boats. Eventually, drifting along the right shore, we arrive at the nature reserve ‘De IJzermonding’, where, with luck, we can spot some seals!
Boattrip with guide: €60 for 45 minutes, €90 for 90 minutes, €120 for 120 minutes. Exclusively for clients of Homeboat Nieuwpoort: Customers are picked up and dropped off at the Homeboat.
